The Final Frontier by FDP
I love this small-format game, got my copy at Game Matrix about two months ago, and I already have ideas for variants, who's ready to Mine and Colonize The Final Frontier?

Super-size the game
I'd like to find a LARGE hexsheet, so that the map-scale can be expanded to 1/2 AU per hex - this allows Venus,Terra/Luna, and Mars to have clearly seperate orbits. I figure to put Sol (with Mercury) about 15 hexes in from one edge so that Jupiter, and the Trojans I want to add, can cleanly orbit as the game-years go by. The Asteroid Belt can be made two rings thick and a few special objects like Amor and Chiron could even be added !

This game could be Diplomacy for the 21st Century !

Ultimately I'd love to see the combat system expanded in the direction of Star Vikings or Full Thrust but I'll settle for a few tweaks.

I've always wanted to see all the different boardgames based on/in our Solar system being played in one big gathering. the ones I know about ... I'm close to making a Beta--*test*-('") map that will use a different scale (MP cost/hex) outside Jupiters orbit, mainly I'm re-calculating the cycle of planetary movements to fit the improved map which should include a couple of individual inner system asteroids plus Chiron, and the various Trojan groups.
