Mark, who's principally a historical/miniatures gamer, was introducing me to a system from Games Workshop for gunslinger skirmishing.
We played on the 4x4 table by the front door, the setting was a small frontier town with a cantina that was the hideout of Mark's notorious bandit gang - I was leading a small squad of US Army infantry regulars on a mission to capture the outlaws. Our game, paced for my learning, lasted about an hour and a half and included about 20 Turns so it represented about 5 minutes of fighting.

Lead by the Lieutenant my squad swung to the right using several rocks and trees for cover as we first worked our way to the stables - one outlaw was ambling through town and luck would have it that he'd discover us, firing a shot and alerting his crew I had half my squad take on that troublemaker even as the rest pressed on to the pig-pen house, which was next to the cantina. The hostile sentry stood his ground for a moment to exchange fire with my troops even as we established a cross-fire on him from the stables and the woods across the trail. At the pig-pen house we could easily see the bulk of the outlaws frantically alerting each other and arming themselves, we recognized their faces from the Wanted posters we held - there was no mistaking, these we our targets.
