Wednesday board game night 12/19, Review and upcoming Another good night for the board gamers. With only Kelly and myself for the first half hour, we played 2 quick games of Taluva. Kelly was suprised by the amout of stratagy involved in such a simple game, but it's a good game for a warm up. After that we had 5 players for Iron Dragon, a fantasy crayon-rail game. As with all crayon rail games it started off slowly, as people built up their rail empires, but then built to a strong finish. At the end we had a pretty close race, with the win going to kelly (annoying humans!).
Finally, it was getting late, so we just had 2 4-player games of Race for the Galaxy. I've only had this game for a month, and it's already my most played game of 2007..... basically, if you are reading this, you should get a copy of Race for the Galaxy, I just can't recommend it enough.
For upcoming games, I recently recieved my pre-order of Container, so I do need to try that out sometime. Aside from that, I'm always up to suggestions.
Hmmm, what do I have that could take on a christmas theme for next week, going to have to ponder that one....
